Ed Cecil Ed Cecil, Secretary/Treasurer Mr. Cecil was a County Commissioner in Washington County in 1988 when he volunteered for the Centennial Board simply because he didn’t like the way services were being provided. Deciding that a seat on the Board was the best way to make sure his ideas were heard, Ed has served faithfully since then, driving thousands of miles across northeastern Colorado in all kinds of weather to attend meetings. Twice honored as Centennial’s Outstanding Board Member of the Year by the Colorado Behavioral Health Care Council, Mr. Cecil has been Secretary since 1989 and Secretary/Treasurer since those offices were combined in 2000. Mr. Cecil taught vocational education and worked for the Farm Home Administration before deciding to try his hand at farming. In addition to growing wheat, corn and alfalfa and managing a cow/calf operation, Mr. Cecil is active on a variety of regional and state committees devoted to helping the mentally ill, senior citizens, and other people who need a strong voice to speak for them. |
