Population Served

Middle School age youth, who have significant behavior or emotional problems. Youth are referred through their local school district when all other educational resources have been exhausted. Youth must be special education eligible, and must meet criteria for out of home placement through the department of human services.

Services Offered:

A self-contained classroom for up to 12 students offering educational and treatment services. Two therapists, in conjunction with a teacher and two Youth Treatment Counselors employed by Colorado Christian Home provide a day treatment level of services for these youth.

Treatment expertise includes:  Mental Health Assessments, Individual, Group and Family Therapy, Psycho-Educational Therapy, Recreational Therapy, In-Home and Family Preservation Therapy and Case Management.

Issues of expertise include:  Behavioral Disorders, Depression, Anxiety, Adjustment Disorders, Impulse Control Disorders, Sexual Offenders, Severe and Persistent Mental Illness in Children, Trauma, Conduct Disorders, ADHD, Personality Disorders, Crisis Evaluation and Intervention and Emergency Services
