Reports to: Executive Director Type: Exempt Position Summary: Supervises the clinical services provided by the Center to insure that (1) programs and services provided by the Center comply fully with the standards, rules and regulations of applicable regulatory and payor agencies, (2) programs and services offered by the Center are consistent with the Center’s mission and policies, and (3) direct service staff adhere to the highest standards of clinical care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provides the primary supervision of County Directors. 2. Oversees the County Directors in the development of annual objectives and budgets for each program within the County Directors’ assigned geographic area(s) in conjunction with goals established by the Board of Directors and Management Team; monitors, manages and reports on goal progress and budget variances. 3. Oversees the County Directors in providing for regular clinical and administrative supervision for all staff in accordance with Center standards. 4. Chairs the Quality Improvement Committee and directs the quality assurance, quality improvement and utilization review efforts of the Center. 5. With the assistance of the Quality Improvement Committee, determines staff training needs and develops and coordinates professional development activities for Center staff, including all annual and on-going required training. 6. Monitors and evaluates programs for quality of care and cost effectiveness. Reports findings and recommendations to the Executive Director. 7. Continuously monitors and refines processes for documenting and reporting the clinical services provided by Center staff. 8. Analyzes supply and demand of the clinical market place; recommends needed programmatic changes; assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of new programs. 9. Oversees County Directors in implementing Board and administrative policies to local programs. 10. Performs other duties as may be assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: County Directors. Job Requirements: Education: Master's degree in human services field. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Colorado licensure as Mental Health Professional, Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist or Psychologist. Experience: Eight (8) years experience in a human service agency. Five (5) years experience in mental health administration; administrative experience in a community mental health center preferred, but not required. Abilities, Knowledge, Skills: Extensive knowledge of mental health and substance abuse professions. Knowledge of supervisory methods and procedures; experience with program budgeting; knowledge of geographic area and resources. Excellent written and verbal communication. Computer literacy to include advanced skills in e-mail communication, word processing, and spreadsheet configurations. Ability to travel within the Center's service area or to other locations as needed. |
