Reports to: Executive Director

Type: Exempt 

Position Summary: Assists Executive Director in executing and implementing policies, procedures and actions of the Board of Directors to ensure accomplishment of the Center’s mission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Acts as administrative liaison with Board of Directors; schedules regular and special meetings, prepares information packages and agendas, records and produces minutes of meetings.

2. Collects and maintains Board-approved policies and other official documents, excluding originals of contracts.

3. Reviews and analyzes information, policies, procedures and plans to assure compatibility with the Center’s mission, providing recommendations to the Executive Director and Management Team as appropriate.

4. Participates in Management Team discussions and decisions.

5. Executes and implements policies and procedures as defined by the Executive Director.

6. Provides, or supervises provision of, administrative support for Executive Director.

7. Represents office of the Executive Director in the absence of the Executive Director.

8. Coordinates Center contracting efforts, to include reviewing, revising, drafting and facilitating execution of documents.

9. Supervises administrative support staff as assigned.

10. Performs other job duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: As assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and experience may be substituted for course work.

Experience: Five years experience in a business office. Work history must demonstrate mastery of progressively more complex tasks and ability to function independently.

Abilities, Knowledge, Skills: Thorough understanding of administrative functions and office management. Excellent typing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Team player with good listening, negotiating and persuasion skills. Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to travel within the Center's service area or to other locations as needed.
