Reports to: Executive Director Type: Exempt Position Summary: Assists Executive Director in executing and implementing policies, procedures and actions of the Board of Directors to ensure accomplishment of the Center’s mission. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Acts as administrative liaison with Board of Directors; schedules regular and special meetings, prepares information packages and agendas, records and produces minutes of meetings. 2. In collaboration with other administrative and management staff, coordinates, compiles, formats, and produces special projects and reports, including Annual Report, Business Plan, Eastern District Commissioners Presentation, materials for site visits, and ad hoc presentations as required. 3. Collects and maintains Board-approved policies and other official documents, excluding originals of contracts. 4. Coordinates Center contracting efforts to include reviewing, drafting, revising, and facilitating execution of documents. 5. Coordinates with outside counsel regarding legal actions taken by or against the Center, to include document production. 6. Researches legal issues as appropriate, either independently or in concert with counsel. 7. Reviews and analyzes information, policies, procedures and plans to assure compatibility with the Center’s mission, providing recommendations to the Executive Director and Management Team as appropriate. 8. As directed by the Executive Director, provides consistent and reliable interface with federal, state, and MHASA levels of activity, including the preparation and collection of survey and research data. 9. Participates in Management Team discussions and decisions. 10. As directed by the Executive Director, represents Centennial in state and MHASA-sponsored work committees. 11. Responsible for administrative support for Executive Director. 12. Represents office of the Executive Director in the absence of the Executive Director. 13. Performs other job duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: As assigned. Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and experience may be substituted for course work. Experience: Eight years experience in a business office. Experience must include work at the corporate level and in paralegal settings. Work history must demonstrate mastery of progressively more complex tasks and ability to function independently. Abilities, Knowledge, Skills: Thorough understanding of administrative functions, including personnel, fiscal, and office management aspects of center operations. Excellent typing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Team player with good listening, negotiating and persuasion skills. Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to travel within the Center's service area or to other locations as needed. |
