Reports to: Finance Director

Type: Exempt 

Position Summary: Coordinates with vendors and contractors to implement MIS upgrades, implements changes as required. Documents changes to hardware and software, updates procedures, and trains users. Reviews and posts approved forms and procedures to the Internet. Processes backup of critical corporate information (MIS database(s), forms, procedures, etc). Duties performed with minimum to moderate supervision and oversight by the Finance Director with emphasis on independent decision making and mission achievement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Consults with management and users to clarify program intent, determines required internal checks and controls, identifies problems, suggests changes, and determines extent of software and hardware requirements. 

2. Responsible for determining data collection and billing requirements for all payer sources, determining MIS procedures and controls needed, and coordinating MIS process center-wide to ensure compliance with requirements.

3. Determines software and hardware requirements for data collection and report generation not limited to the MIS office, but including the requirements of the field offices.

4. Sets up billing procedures and controls in computer software.

5. Coordinates with vendors in the development or selection of new software and/or equipment. 

6. Compiles documentation on hardware and software and maintains a documentation file. 

7. Reviews and posts approved forms and other documents to the corporate intranet.

8. Verifies daily backup has run and stores cartridges or disks in a safe location.  Identifies new backup requirements as new data sources become operational.

9. Establishes and maintains effective, collaborative working relationships with Center employees and outside agencies with which Centennial is involved. 

10. Travels within the service area of the Center and serves as the Center's MIS representative in meetings.

11. Completes statistical reports and special projects as required.

12. Performs other job duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: As assigned

Job Requirements: 

Education: High school Diploma or equivalent. College level course work in computer science or computer programming experience preferred.

Experience: Three years of MIS experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment.

Abilities, Knowledge, Skills: Knowledge of computer processing. Ability to operate a variety of word-processing, database managers and report writing programs. Background in accounting and billing practices.
