Reports to: NIMH Representative or Medical Director Type: Exempt Position Summary: Works collaboratively with Associate Dean for Rural Health, and others involved in the Rural Mental Health: Improving Evidence-Based Practices for Depression program named by the State to develop/deliver the State approved training program to PCPs and provide integrated care intervention to consumers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Participates in State required trainings. 2. Develops/delivers the State approved training program to PCPs. 3. Provides consumers with up-to-date program information. 4. Coordinates services for consumers who have been diagnosed with depression. 5. Coordinates services to consumers through primary care physicians (PCPs). 6. Provides the integrated care intervention to consumers randomized to the intervention condition. 7. Provides the depression videotape module to consumers randomized to supplemented usual care and consumers who choose not to participate in the intervention. 8. Coordinates the delivery of outpatient services articulated in the protocol the State project will develop to safely avoid potentially inappropriate hospitalizations under the supervision of the Medical Director. 9. Keeps detailed notes about the modifications s/he makes to the role learned in initial training, helping the project director refine training materials for further dissemination efforts to those involved in the project. 10. Performs other job duties as assigned.Job Requirements: CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado. EXPERIENCE Minimum of two years experience in nursing field. ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS Ability to serve wide range of consumers, including culturally diverse populations. Knowledge of cultural issues that may have a bearing on service provision. Knowledge of community resources. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Computer literacy to include basic skills in e-mail communication and word processing. Ability to travel within the Center's service area or to other locations as needed. |
