Reports to: Regional Responses Network Project Director Position Summary: Assists Network Members in developing and implementing appropriate strategies to meet the Network objectives and performs specific Work Plan-related tasks as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Assists Research Committee efforts to define, assess and report on the needs of all involved agencies regarding mental health and substance abuse emergencies. 2. Assists Public Relations Committee in promoting partnership concepts and purpose with proposed partners, public and business communities in 6-county area through community presentations, face-to-face meetings and appropriate media interface. 3. Drafts inter-agency protocols for response to mental health and substance abuse emergencies. Assists in implementation and monitors effectiveness of such protocols. 4. Provides technical and administrative support regarding a variety of issues, special projects and research as assigned. 5. Develops funding proposals, including new proposals as well as refunding proposals to former grantors. 6. Performs other job duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: Administrative Assistant Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor's or masters degree in behavioral science, public administration, or related field. Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC II / III) preferred.Experience: Experience in agency and program development. Successful experience in grant writing. Strong background in behavioral health care, including mental health and substance abuse. Abilities, Knowledge, Skills: Thorough understanding of administrative functions, including personnel, fiscal, and office management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Team player with good listening, negotiating and persuasion skills. Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to travel within the six-county area or to other locations as needed. |
