Sherri has over 17 years of experience in finance for both not-for-profit and for-profit organizations. Her breadth of experience ranges from setting up a small accounting system and procedures for a single-owner business to running a multi-company accounting system spanning several cities. Sherri earned her Master’s degree in management through night and weekend classes in California and New Mexico. Sherri has served as Finance Director for Centennial Mental Health Center since December, 1996.
Sherri's earliest work in finance was with a sixty million-dollar multi-company organization whose administration offices were located in Los Angeles, CA. Her responsibilities included business matters for facilities in nine counties ranging from Stockton in the north to the southern city of San Diego. Later work included the position of Comptroller in a company in Alamogordo, NM. There Sherri and her staff were responsible for the accounting and procedures for four offices in three cities.
Currently, Sherri is responsible for oversight of all aspects of the Centennial Business Office, including all financial, information system, and human resource functions. During her time at Centennial, Sherri has implemented quality improvements that have greatly increased the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of these systems.
