Family & Youth Clinical Coordinator, Parenting with Love and Limits Facilitator
John joined Centennial Mental Health Center in May of 2013. Prior to his work at Centennial, John has worked in public education and community mental health in rural Kansas, providing an array of services to children and their families. John also completed his clinical internship in this setting, expanding his practice into couple's counseling, addiction counseling and conducting groups for families. Additionally John provided "Strengthening Families" trainings to at-risk youth and their families for St. Francis Community Services.
John completed his Bachelor's degree in Human Development in 2009 and his Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2012. John was honorably discharged from the United States Marines in 2007. He and his wife (a middle school teacher and coach) reside in the Fort Morgan area. John looks forward to becoming a part of the Fort Morgan community and using his wide array of skills and experiences to help individuals and families achieve a positive change.
John has treatment expertise in treating Children, Adolescents, Families, Group Treatment, Military Lifestyle and assisting others in access to available resources.
He has received additional training in Trauma Based Interventions, Strength Based Treatment, Solution Focused Interventions, NMT, Love and Logic, Second Steps, Strengthening Families, and Motivational Interviewing.
